Well, it depends but most of the time you'll stay there a week. You'll be questioned usually everyday and before you actually do enter the patient floor or section, you'll be asked lots of questions which some can be strange some will be normal, "have you thought of death in past blah blah days" they asked me if I was in a gang once 😭 Also they'll ask you your ethnicity and home life. one time I came in at 11:00 PM and finally entered after questioning a bit after one 1 AM. They usually will wake you up earlier for breakfast and they also have activities during the day but you don't choose when you do them they do and you'll go in a group. It's not uncommon for fights to break out there either but if someone isnt acting behaved they'll put a shot in your cheek everyone calls "booty juicy" no I am kidding I am genuinely being serious, it relaxes you. Also they'll make you pee in a cup to test you for stuff before you go up forgot to mention that sorry. Usually if you are still s-icidal or whatever issues you are struggling you'll be kept longer, this is because they ask you questions every morning and night to see how you are improving. (idk if I can say s word and don't want this to get deleted) . and yes if your parents take you out early they WILL call CPS. If you want to go to a "long term mental hospital" you need to look at RTC's instead. Also check your parents insurance it can be very expensive or cheap depending on how well the insurance covers it but most mental hospitals offer the same price.

Please call either 911 or 988 immediately if you are evem thinking of this, I have in fact attempted this and ended up with a fractured neck and was in intensive out patient therapy as well as psychical therapy because I was literally walking slanted afterwards and it was constantly painful after just standing or walking for a few minutes

I MEANT NOT KIDDING SORRY, yes booty juice is literally real if you don't believe me look up what shots they give patients in mental hospitals/wards when they aren't behaving (idk the actual name for it but they do in fact put it in your cheek)

im not going to hang myself, sorry that u have attempted this. it very often fails and u end up with brain damage, or neck fractures, stuff like this.
its not my choice of method

here's a simple version ^^ (tried to add colors to make you more likely to read idk if that makes sense:

from reading what your'e posting in the thread:

yes please go to one.
if you are being violent to others or yourself you will get a shot to calm yourself down.
you will see psychiatrists daily and be able to ask to talk to nurses and ur psychiatrist if they're free.
you will have to get your blood drawn likely the next or first day of being there.
you'll be held a week likely
if you want a long term stay look in RTC's (Residential Treatment Center)
You will likely leave with a new diagnosis if this is ur first time.

I cant tell if this is rage bait but it is in fact a psychical place you stay as a patient for a week usually due to mental health problems.
