You misunderstood, my paragraph was on people who deny the benefits of the gym. I LITERALLY HAVE A GUIDE ON GYMMAXING IN MUST-READS

Give me one reputable study that displays that muscles are COPE, that an "ugly guy with muscles" has as much mating success as an "ugly guy with a skinny fat build". (Implying that mating success is 0) That the only factors for attracting potential mates is face and height. (Mind you, personality traits are out of the question for these guys)

Here's one meta-analysis consisting of 96 studies and a combined sample size of 177,044 participants.
...strength/muscularity was the strongest and consistent predictor of both mating and reproduction.

Here's an "up-to-date summary of the current state of the science of human mating" from Oxford, edited by David Buss
"One notable difference between male and female body types is that men have broader shoulders and greater upper body and grip strength. Many women express preferences for men with moderately muscular and toned bodies (Frederick & Haselton, 2007; Gray & Frederick, 2012). This research has emphasized the benefits of selecting a mate who is physically formidable (Snyder et al., 2011), as well as potential benefits from mating with a male who might pass predispositions for a robust body onto offspring (Frederick & Haselton, 2007). Furthermore, muscularity is held up as socially prestigious, which encourages men to desire muscularity in themselves and women to desire muscularity in their male partners (Frederick et al., 2005)."

TLDR
If you don't want to read the entire sections on the papers, essentially what the first paper is saying is that there is evidence that supports the idea that strength/muscles are the SOLE factor that CONSISTENTLY predicted mating and reproduction success when it came to physical attraction. And for the second paper, it states along the lines that women prefer men with more muscular builds because those men are perceived as protectors, having higher social prestige, and are a better quality parent for offspring.

Here is a video summarizing these two studies:
