Instead of fixing the problems in adults they should teach children proper tounge posture and habits regarding dental facial development and only use extensive treatment if the genetics is what's ruing the face.

Man I would've killed for someone to teach me proper habits as a young child tbh.

Most people like to say it's geentic ruining my face which can be true for some but in my personal option it's more about how people develop though infantry and young childhood.

Also dependent on parents teaching habits and there habits before the child's birth.

But the orthodontist role should be more tailored for long term facil development in children instead of just getting a good smile it should be focused on improving airways and consistent tounge posture.

Adult can get treatment to but the point by that point most adults arent gonna see the major health benefits and structural changes as children would.
At least without risking damage or unnaturality.

Part of this is on parents also

Just my pov take it was a grain of salt if you want to.

completely agree

my brother got braces when he was 14, he had a decent jaw

now his chin is recessed by like 4 mm. His under eye support has gone to shit as well, its gonna cost infinitely more than any braces would to fix his recession and his orbital deficiency

fucking joe orthos. I thank god everyday for not giving crowded teeth so i didn't have to get braces when I was younger

Fr the orthdponst often make cases worst if not like 5 star reviewed which is rare the one I'm going to is 5 star review and they said orthdoint alone won't make me reach goals that's why there having me go to surgeon but I know most orthodontist don't know what there actually doing in today's society

most orthodontists legit couldnt care less about your maxilla, mandible, etc.

If they can fix your teeth at the cost of giving you a shit jaw, non existent under eye support, all with a narrow palate, they'll take it without hesitation.

Try and find a ortho who will take these things into consideration if your trying to ascend.

They are for the most part there saying there gonna start treatment but there esuaing their practice is not gonna be enough for my goal so I see that as a good sign that they actually take the time to refer me to a maxiloo jaw surgeon. They could probably just say we can straighten teeth for a much fairer price but they didn't know the case

its a cultural issue, even stuff like spoonfeeding causes bad tongue habit. people are obese and they dont care, i would imagine people not caring about facial development on average either

I don't disagree but there education really trains them just to focus on bites and straightening teeth. Would need a massive system overhaul to make the change you want
