i grew up with this belief that homeless people were just people that were extremely unlucky in life and just were victims of bad fate but the more you grow up the more you realize a lot of them are despicable people , that burnt bridges with every person in their lives and can't take enough accountability to get back on their feet , this applies to a LOT of homeless people in the west who mostly grew up with families and opportunitites to live at least a decent life

Especially with all of the financial help poor people get. I live in a big city so there is homeless people almost everywhere. Some have been evicted because they refused to let go of their animals, some just gave up and started doing hard drugs, all preventable things. Even if it’s an expensive city you could get a rent that only costs 100 bucks if you’re poor poor. Until recently I believed that the only people who were legitimate to be homeless were illegals, but that’s untrue too because they literally get almost free housing. Unfortunately it’s their fault. And we should pity nobody but their hypothetical children who didn’t choose this life.

i still think it's situational but if you grow up in the west and end up homeless it is most likely on you
