Depends

Is it an addiction? Some people genuinely can't stop burning cash and time into collecting stuff. My friend for example has gone into debt buying switch games he'll never play. He also loves collecting DVDs and figurines.

They require no effort to procure, but he's one of the most shallowest and dumbest people I know, and genuinely doesn't have anything going on for him, and so this is like the only way he gets some sense of accomplishment or whatever

There's a difference between doing it as a passion and just being addicted and having shiny item syndrome

nope, not at all. im actually quite frugal
but yeah ive also heard of people like that, its genuinely pathetic thinking any sort of life-worth can be derived from collecting bought items (being like, a super rare animal collector, or bone collector or sumn is different cus collections like that can help science so they could provide some life worth)

Besides that, just do self study (something you like it counts as brainmaxing)
