do you really think it would be better for all these children to be born in dysfunctional homes, low income homes maybe even abused?

I get your point but that is not my argument at all.
My argument is for the child not to suffer, so they dont get neglected and abused due to the resentment the mother holds agianst the child.
As well this argument isnt just about the child, mother and family but also socially
Many criminals and people who harm society come from dysfunctional homes, so we are gonna be feeding into this loop by allowing and forcing these families to exist.

I think the fix to this would be to go back to a traditional society but thats too difficult and would take too much time as of now

the consequences of their actions are to raise the next generation? most of the poor people disagreed for abortion to be legal, look at the IPSOS survey back in 2019 or so
