Mirin! That is actually Sun Kil Moon’s old band. I’m glad you’re enjoying them. They’re considered slowcore or sadcore. I could find more stuff to recommend but I have to do some digging. The past few years I’ve mainly just listened to j-pop and k-pop.

I discovered him through /mu/, this was in 2014. He had just released that new album of his at the time. First SKM song I listened to was Carissa and apparently that’s the saddest song he ever wrote, according to himself.

Well I'm going out there though I'm not really needed
I'm just so broken up about it, how is it that this sad history repeated?
