all of us in here
aren't we the lost teens
we missed out on
having a girl talk to us
having a girl message us silly things
we wouldn't be ordering these stuff online
if we had a girl on our phone pushing us on forward
if we had friends helping us out
going into public with our head held up
with our shoulders back
with a smile on our face
with natural confidence
dot you remember or are the anxious 13 year old crying
because people were mean to you for no reason
because you felt weak and invalidated
for walking the school hallways and feeling small
the 14 year old searching
"do looks matter"
getting left out because you don't know what to say
getting left out because of your acne
getting left out because your short
getting left out because your fat and don't know how to stop
getting left out because your ugly and don't know to fix it
your eyes fall they sink
when you see that the girls make a small joke about your appearance
when your in a classroom and your invisible
when you hide your tears in class and act like your looking for your backpack
do you not know the pain walking the school hallways and being in the middle as the shortest kid
feeling like you have all the eyes on you
feeling like u cant assert or being taken serious
when your sad you push it down and you struggle
but the kid who's taller and attractive
when he's sad and falls
people catch him.
but when you fall
you fall on your back
being scared to talk to people in the eyes
remember your inner 12 year old
crying because he was left out in recess
earning a new joke or skill
and ready to show your friends
but the taller and funnier kid takes your spotlight
when you cry because your crush got a boyfriend
trying to be the funny kid but the jokes don't hit
their off
their eyes sink, and become gloomy
and scoff you
just remeber the 12 year old
the 13 year old
the 14 year old
the 15 year old
crying into his pillow
hugging his pillow acting like he had a girl by him
just remeber
why you do it
to fix your inner child...
