My grand-father escaped the STO (Service de Travail Obligatoire : Nazi forced labour of young french men) during WW2.

He was a farmer and she was a SAHM

germany acted legally regarding france but thats not the point. im not saying either side was justified but if you really think its as simple as good guy vs bad guy then there's something wrong

Understandable. It’s mandatory for a level school classes to visit one of the facilities in order to remind us what happened there. I saw it with my own eyes. If I had been a prisoner there I probably wouldn’t wanna revisit the memory either

Yea attrocities were committed from both sides. That’s what war is. It’s a different thing to be the attacker and the driving force behind a mass genocide and wanting to ethnically cleanse the whole world. Made us the definition of bad guys imo.

They’d do anything to keep Germans busy hating other people but not theirs. That’s why they sat and watched when parts of Poland and tchechoslowakia got annexed.

lol I can even find videos of polish military burning down German houses and slaughtering civilians before ww2 even took place
there's loads of information against the allies' propaganda but obv you wont find it on wikipedia

FYI my grandma was actually part of the sudetes. So the ethnic Germans that actually lived in that bordering area. They were only misplaced from their homes AFTER the war.
