So, we all know that the US has recently acquired Venezuela. "It was to stop the funnelling of drugs into the US, which Maduro oversaw!" Hmm... Of course...
All right, we all know what the main use of crude oil is to the USA. Fuel. This is both for domestic use and exporting. Fuel prices have also been outrageous for the past few years, so I believe that this is Trump's attempt of securing the citizen's trust. For what exactly? His next moves.
On a slight tangent, I can also envision Trump using his newly-found resources in attempts of economic coercion. Basically, economic coercion is the act of using trade barriers (tariffs, quotas, embargos, etc) to force another country to meet their demands. I believe that Trump's target is the EU.
As you can see, quite a majority of the EU's petroleum oils come from the US, and what is the US trying to do? Acquire Greenland. Now, I'm sure you're hearing currently that Greenland is governed by the Kingdom of Demark, which is protected by the EU. So, what happens whenever the EU doesn't budge on the Greenland issue? High trade barriers.
You may also ask, why does Trump want Greenland so bad? He claims that it is for national defense, as it will help protect the US against any foreign invasions (China, Russia, etc). To anyone with a triple-digit IQ, it's clear that this is bullshit. So what could it be? I believe there are two main reasons: Greenland's mineral resources, and the invasion of Canada (highly speculative, but bear with me).
Above is a brief map of Greenland's estimated mineral resources. Do with this what you will. I don't want to speak too long about this, as the other point is far more interesting.
So... the annextion of Canada. Early last year (and even earlier), there has been talks about Canada becoming the 51st state of America. Here's an article of Trump speaking in the WEF, urging Canada to become the 51st state: https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/en...avoid-his-tariffs_uk_67933d18e4b0629837bf2a2d
Trump has also enforced 25% tariffs on Canada, but they haven't budged. So what is Trump to do? I want you to look at this map below, and ask yourself what will happen if the USA acquires Greenland?
Canada will be smothered to death by the USA from all directions. There will be a forceful annexation if Trump acquires Greenland, and Trudeau doesn't budge.
TL;DR The USA acquiring Greenland is the first step towards forcefully taking Canada.
