my mom forced me to
basically i finished the quran but now i have to take translation classes which are a bit more fun but still annoying asl

but obv i cant say that to my parents so i just pray and do everything they say (like taking quran classes)
as for bad experience yeah i did have pretty bad experience esp w my family and i just think religion is restrictive in general

No ways I prefired the strict family = afraid of religion My family was lax about religion and now I feel like it is the obvious truth that I can never leave.

i think you should do your own research, i have a ton of very educated muslim friends who are still muslim after learning about it and i also know people who left the religion after learning about it. to each their own and i think everyone should have own interpretation of quran and hadiths, islamic teachings etc. it never hurts to get more educated about what you believe

Yeah I like to learn a lot about other religions and I always try to understand Christian and atheist/agnostic belief. But for me the evidence of Islam being true is just too much that I haven’t found any other belief system that is logical. I obviously hope everyone with a similar case turns back to the truth but until then its for you is your religion and for me is my religion
