While paying attention to your magnesium intake is a great step for muscle health, joint and wrist pain is often caused by biomechanical errors or inflammation rather than magnesium deficiency. If the pain in your wrist is described as "stuttering" or "burning" your tendon sheaths may be irritated. Magnesium won't offer a direct solution here instead, rest and ice application may be necessary. If you experience swelling in your wrist, pain that wakes you up at night, or numbness, see an orthopedist or physical therapist. This could be the beginning of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Magnesium ain't do shit when tendons are inflamed. Take a rest from piano, supplement yourself with Omega 3s and Collagen/Gelatin/Chondrotoine from either foods (sardines, real bone broth) or high-quality supplements.

Can do finger extensions and wrist curls using a cheap device and see if it counter balance the overuse of finger contractions and constant wrist extension

Applying extra stress to an already inflamed joint with 'cheap devices' can worsen micro-tears. Rehabilitation should be done through stretching, mobilization, and, if necessary, eccentric loading under the supervision of a physiotherapist, not through 'resistance exercises'. Uncontrolled strengthening done independently can chronicize tissue damage.

Cheap devices being small dumbells and finger extenders using small resistance bands, we talk about pumping blood into the injured area to speed up recovery and bring back a balance between agonist and antagonist tendons/small muscles strength

Increasing blood flow and restoring agonist
antagonist muscle balance can be part of tendon rehabilitation I agree with that. However, the issue is at what stage, with what load, and on which tissue it is performed. In the early or reactive phase of tendon problems, resistance finger extensions or wrist exercises, even if intended to "pump blood" can increase micro damage. Increased blood flow alone does not mean healin tendons do not respond as quickly as muscles and react negatively to incorrect loading doses. That's why resistance exercises are included in rehabilitation, but they are applied gradually according to the pain level and the stage of the tendon, not with random equipment. The "cheap equipment" or "general balance" approach ignores these nuances.
