Hi everyone, I have this ability with my mouth muscles that I’ve noticed and I’m hoping someone here can help me understand it better, possibly in relation to mewing or orthotropics.

When my tongue is at rest in the mouth (in its normal position), I can pull the skin under the tip of my tongue (the floor of the mouth) upward, like creating a slight suction or tension. I can do this without actively moving my tongue or changing its position, and it feels like I'm using muscles underneath the tongue and in the floor of my mouth.

It doesn't involve any movement of the frenulum (the little tissue under the tongue), but I can still feel some sort of pull on the floor of my mouth, almost like the muscles are being activated. I can suck harder or even softly just like hard mewing or soft mewing. Interestingly, I’ve noticed that this seems to make my jawline look better, just exactly like mewing does matter of fact even better than mewing.

I tested both mewing and this floor suction and shockingly mouth floor suction had a better suction of my under jaw than mewing.

If this already exists i have no idea about it so please tell me about it.

Has anyone experienced something like this? Is this connected to any technique in orthotropics or mewing? I’d love to hear your thoughts or if anyone knows more about this kind of muscle engagement.
