Ive just moved to uk and start school soon
Im Pakistani so obviously have a Pakistani accent
How do i improve it a little to fit in lol

You should consume english media first of all
Look at videos that practice speech
And most importantly look at videos that train specifically your type of accent since each accent has different tendencies and things they need to fix

its gonna be difficult i wont lie to u. depending on the area in the uk, u might be called slurs and freshie + ppl might make fun of ur accent.
ignore them tho, dont let it get to u.

as draftLexy said, expose urself to english media. specifically british. watch stuff on BBC iplayer. especially stuff like eastenders so ure exposed to different and very strong british accents. practice saying things with an accent until it becomes natural and ingrained. theres lots of tutorials on yt. also practice with other people too.

i know a guy who was in a similar situation he changed it in about a year but he told me that he had to think about everything he said to make it sound more british until the habit stuck so u will need to speak very deliberately

We just moved here i don’t know how openly racist people are yet but yeah it’s definitely been more anti immigration online

I think people might be less openly racist in london tho since it’s filled with immigrants
