Need some advice on my hair

I recently came across this video, and I realized that my hair looks similar when it's damp, except I don't have the length at the back and sides of my head. I was wondering if it's worth taking the risk and growing out my hair. To see if such a hairstyle suits me

dont worry too much about hair it is something that is usually easy to change
