Sometimes I feel like autism is a useless diagnosis, at least for those on the functioning side of the spectrum. Like they have different body language from others, or get rlly excited about things, or dislike eye contact? How are those any different from personality traits? Sure they might slightly hinder you in life, but so will a mean personality or a shy personality. Most people today are so boring. Their best interest is their phone or whatever is trending on tiktok. Autistic people often have something cool theyre really passionate about and we see this as weird, just because they dont act like the usual trend hopping zombie..
