New phone?

I've been using hmd flip phone for the past 5 months, I got it bc I wanted to stop procrastinating this school year and kinda quit phone addiction and tbh it worked a little but etv

And before I got it I thought everything through, like what am I risking or looking when I get the flip phone and none of the problems were too big so I got the phone anyway and been using it for 5moths but now there's a lot of things coming up where I would need a normal phone
Mainly cz I'm turning 18 (still have like 4-5 months) and since all my stuff are gonna be separated from my parents I would need a phone cz everything is digital now

Should I get a new phone like a touch screen one and which phone should I get? Idk what my parents are gonna say but I'll buy one anyway bc I need it and my older brother he had a perfectly working phone but dumped that one and got an iphone even tho he always hated on me for wanting an iphone and he got it from swappie even tho he told me it's a scam company when I wanted an iphone from there. I gave my old touchscreen phone to my little brother (saved money for my dad cz now he doesn't need to buy him one since he has mine) so they have to let me get the phone I want now

And also I never had a real phone addiction but my brother does and I do better at school and help more at home so yes
