The mainstream story of his death is the following. He saw a dead horse and went crazy then spent years in bed and then wrote "crazy" letters shortly before his death.
I see this as unlikely.
Most likely he saw the dead horse and felt empathy with it. Its soul talked to him and he had an intensely focused spiritual ascension due to the already deep wisdom he had prior. He might be a horse somewhere right now but that's besides the point. As a byproduct of his spiritual ascension he started to go into the other dimensions and probably saw everything that has ever happened to horses, maybe he talked to them. Maybe he felt at home with the horses wild nature. Since he spent years in this state of ascension he most likely unlocked many powers that nobody else ever had. So to speak as his lasting proof of the will to power. He did most likely then learn time travel and I can't talk about what he could have done but you see again and again especially in fascist ideologies utter adoration of him and his ideas. There was 1 man who perfectly fit his description of the overman. If there is one person who has the perfect alibi to access time traveling and the ideal sense of humour to use it but not overuse it then it is FN. I really think that is extremely close to the truth.
