I went up to a guy 3 weeks ago at a school event, about how I like him and if he wants to get to know me, we have exchanged numbers and he said he never had a girlfriend before and was suprised because he never got approached, later he texted me that he doesn’t want to give me false hopes because there’s a girl he already likes

Always in my life I went up to guys first (not above average looking) and a relationship or something never begun, I won’t loose hope obviously because it’s factually still easier as a girl but I’m probably just to shy now to approach another guy in the next 5-10 months
