Depends how high quality of a woman you are, most men don't want a long term partner - especially in their 20s.

I have the opposite issue, my standards are extremely low because I've always been thought to expect nothing from whatever man I date, im trying to unlearn that and find some nuance cuz it always ends me up w real bad guys

truth idm marrying an older guy anyways most successful older guys want a young woman so its an advantage for me

man i don’t even know my standards
i’ve had one short relationship but we were both young and immature so i don’t take it that seriously
i mean i am in high school so guys aren’t much of a priority to me compared to my studies

but honestly if you do have high standards keep it that way so you find a supportive and suitable man in your life esp if you’re young

There's typically two trains of thought, women who have no expectations - and women who have high expectations.

There is absolutely no middle ground.

When people with low expectations say they want something - it might be things absolutely bare minimum traits that are in the definition of a relationship, i.e. doesn't cheat.

Just look at a high quality man with good life prospects and don't allow yourself to be used as a sex slave for others.

Problem uno: be attractive.

Otherwise your life is easy.

If u can offer the same standards its okay to have them

Seems like good advice, thank you

Thank fuck for all of those men

Do you sympathize to any extent?
Yes, in the sense that when I think of an amazing relationship I really just think of one being loyal to me, speaking to me, and bring physically affectionate sometimes. The bare minimum seems great tbh

There's no issue in romanticizing about your ideal relationship - only if you realize that its highly unlikely it will be your first relationship.

I just want someone to complement me - like take the parts about me I'm unsure about, and amend them so we seem like a competent couple.

Yes, I can relate to that sentiment. I think that's a fair thing to want/expect. I'd say a partnership is probably more likely to function well when the two people can make up for each other's shortcomings in some ways, sort of like puzzle pieces.

Where the effort extended by both parties is equal.

Very well put.
