And that is the unfortunate reality of our society. For the most part, your friends, family, relatives, etc will not want to see you become better than them. You’ve likely heard former overweight people say that when they first started their journey, everyone was supportive of them. However, once they began to actually see good results, all of a sudden everyone around them flipped a switch and tried telling them things. This applies for essentially everything in life. When you’re making progress and becoming the best version of yourself, people will put you down. It’s important that you don’t listen to then
I too am ashamed to admit I’m guilty of this. I have an HTN friend and whenever I’m with him and see him get this chad treatment and hear about his slay stories, I do get jealous. He had an insane ascension, he was genuinely subhuman a couple of years ago and now he’s a real HTN. That being said, I never bring him down or tell him anything negative. I always hype him up and do my best to be supportive.
Be there for the people you love. Don’t be afraid to compliment others. Just remember: we’re all going through our own struggles
