Poll Nominate users for August's 2025 MotM.

Last month went pretty good, so we'll be allowing user nominations for the foreseeable future.

This one is going up a bit earlier, but I will normally be posting the polls 7 days before the voting period, and the voting period is about 4 days. So it'd go up about 11 days before the end of the month of every month. The voting period will include staff member's votes and the previous MotM votes.
  • You can't nominate users who have already won MotM before, or owns the 'Member of the Month' badge.
  • You can't nominate yourself.
  • You can't nominate alts/secondary accounts.
  • Thread will be locked on August 28th. You won't be able to nominate users for August's 2025 MotM after the 28th.
  • Just because you nominate a user, it does not mean they will win in the polls. This is not the final poll, this is just to request certain users to be added to the polls who might've not been added otherwise.

I’d say the same thing, I was more active than Mandy and archelaus at the start of the month , but I only made 3 guides even tho one is a must read idk if I can compete with him and Mandy the other users meh I don’t think they have a chance tbh

Mandy and currycelloser give good advice and @Archelaus makes good guides same with you
the others are just there because they're in some circlejerks that nominates them every month

We allow users to nominate anyone as long as they meet the requirements (listed in the OP), so they deserve it in the same way everyone else on the list deserves it.

If it makes you feel any better, I will normally go back and manually review a user's activity throughout the month and then filter out new accounts or alt accounts. This is what I've always done since I've started participating in the polls. Normally a user needs to be at least 51% active throughout the month to get added to the final poll. I will also sometimes write a reason why a user deserves to win MotM, so it's not based solely off of the popularity of the user instead of merit.

Some users didn't like me doing this without community input, so it's why we allow user nominations now.

It's possible you don't get added to this month's poll and will have to be added to September's. It would mainly depend on your overall activity and the community's view of you as a user, however MotM is meant to reward users who have shown a genuine interest in the site beyond short term interest. Normally making a lot of guides within a short period is not an example of commitment to the site per se. It does not disqualify you from being in August's poll, but it's not dependent solely on your contributions to the looksmaxxing categories, but rather how your content may represent the site or the community in a good or positive light.
