normalize not giving ratings to newbies

How else do you expect someone to start improvement if they aren't sure what to fix? I feel like honest ratings are the start to your self-improvement journey.

I think he means because most people ask for ratings then leave

I don't think it's a bad thing though - once someone has a good idea of what they want to improve on they don't really need to sit in a forum asking questions

i said ratings

Ehh it helps you find out what u need help with but I can see the logic in not understanding because people tend to leave quickly soon afterward.

agreed, dont give ratings but advice instead. then after they ascend you rate them, + they are no longer newbies

maybe because they usually just leave immediately after

or don't become actually good users
