Has anyone else experienced it too? If so, what does your friend group look like?

The black ppl here are way too ghetto for me and I always get “you’re not from around here are you?” (I’ve been here 16 years) since I don’t have an accent or act a certain way


For the longest time my friend group was like 80% brown guys. Just fw them more

I’ve got my 4 best friends and tbh my circle’s getting bigger each day I’m here at uni. I’m not worried. It’s just that I find it harder to mix with my own people for some reason

yea, family wise too. im very introverted compared to the other latinos in my family. my entire family loves going out to parties, dancing, etc. i was exposed to it from a very young age, but it was just never my thing.
i still go to the parties + dance + whatever else, but my social battery gets drained so i can’t enjoy it after like two hours

friend wise, im not friends with stereotypical latinos. my friends are as ‘weird’ as me so i feel quite lucky. stereotypical latinos have such shit music taste i can’t do it, idk how someone can genuinely listen to bad bunny and rauw alejandro ONLY

In my schools everyone were white, only like 2 black/brown people (my grade level), they were like rare pokemons. I made friends with them, but yeah mostly just my kind.

In uni, there are more other races, but they're mostly just asians or transfer students, haven't really interacted with them.
