Keith Jarrett's 1975 album cover for his performance at an opera house in Germany. It is the best selling solo album in jazz history and the best-selling piano album, and he played on a rehearsal piano. It had all sorts of issues: it wasn't tuned properly, had broken pedals, and it had a set of keys that didn't even work. A repair team did what they could before the performance began but he ended up going on stage with a faulty piano. And a huge part about how he performed so well was because he had to occupy his conscious mind with "stay off that key" or "the petals dont work". So much so that it turned off his conscious mind and his subconscious mind was able to take over.
I made previous posts about the defining characteristic between NT and ND in my last thread:
my def of nt and nd is a lil different. if it helps u show ur personality more and generates laughs which in my experience are the ultimate sign that someone likes u, then it helps u be nt. if u cant apply it well then its not. and thats a big oversimplification of everything but thats just to clarifyGood arguments but creativity is an indicator of being ND (like take people with ADHD as an example)
And tldr what makes u ND is ur conscious mind interfering with your subconscious mind. It's all about confidence, having faith in ur subconscious mind which is 10x stronger than ur conscious. And its obviously hard to do that if ur exposed to chronic loneliness and invalidation. So, a good tip to get NT pretty quickly is just to remove ur conscious mind away from all the guesswork. I find the best way to do this is with fidgetting, complex handgestures, or by shifting ur breathing from conscious to subconscious. And when u get that validation from others u r facing, u might not need it anymore.
