Warning, post is mostly kind of me rambling / putting my thoughts together on what to do now that I've lost significant weight. This will not be well structured at all, sorry.

Well, it's been awhile everyone. I've successfully lost almost 60 lbs since I made my last post back in July. I don't really feel comfortable posting body or face pics even in dms, but I've definitely leveled up in terms of my looks. I would sort of estimate when I made my post that I was around ltb because guys that were around the l/mtn range would try asking me out or be flirty. I would estimate now that I'm a high mtb, possibly could ascend to htb if I could get my jawline slimmer and not look so "cute" / neotenous etc. I'm mostly making that assumption since now mostly htn and like a handful of cls have shown interest in me irl not just on dating sites or online. Although due to me being a woman this can be kinda hard to say, since a lot of guys can just flirt without really meaning much or just ask you out with only "those" sorts of intentions. But irl I'm usually rated a 7, which also can be a cope but idk. I'm not at my goalweight yet but I'm pretty close.

But anyway, here are my main concerns. One of them being despite my weightloss my jaw still isn't very defined. My double chin is gone and my face is much slimmer, but my jaw really isn't that pronounced. I have an oval shaped face, and a shortish chin. I just think I have a soft jawline but I hate ittt. I've been working on mewing consistently and have mostly corrected my mouth breathing and tongue posture, but my jawline is still an issue.

Another issue I'm annoyed with how neotenous my features are. I am a bit older than most of the girls on here, and I constantly get older women irl saying it's good that I'm still viewed as a teenager despite entering my mid 20's soon. But I get the feeling that it's holding me back?? I feel like it it's cute when you're young, but as you get older I fear I'll just look "odd" I guess? Is it better to have neotenous features or have more mature feminine features? Idk could the men weigh in on this? It genuinely annoys me when people think I'm like 18-19 when I'm a grown adult, and that others take me less seriously. I tend to get told I have a babyface, and I don't really wear a lot of makeup. Would makeup/different hairstyle make me look more my age, or should I just lean into it and cutemaxx (lol).

Another thing, since I've lost weight I'm a little unsure of where I should go next in terms of body comp/ I'm abt 10 lbs until I reach my gw, and I'm at a good position to lean out. I've mostly done weight training and light cardio to just get thr weight down, should I continue weight training and lean into like, light bodybuilding to get a more fem physique or should I start pilates? Idk I'm at a cross roads here. I'm also debating if I should lose more weight and go for a slim and petite build or only lose a little and just lean into my curves?

Sorry for the rambling, thanks for reading, and hope everyone is having a good holiday season, cheers!

eh I'm gonna trust u saying ur around hmtb.

if ur at a certain bf% (10-15% for men, 15-18% for women) and ur jaw isn't defined, that's all bone/genetics, nothing u can do rlly except surgery.

about the neotenous features, a lot of people with that hate it at first, but as you get older, you'll notice that you look 5-10 years younger than everyone else. it's good in the long term, but hell short term. for men it's a matter of preference. I don't think there's a universal preference, but i'm probably leaning somewhere in the middle.

as a woman, if u bodybuild, your overall muscle growth will be limited anyways. don't know much about pilates, it's worked wonders for some tho. whichever u end up choosing (or even a mix), just stay active. also a matter of preference. most universally desired physique is slim w/ curves. but in general it's better to stay decently lean as a male or female. it just looks better, and also ur jaw is more defined.

Thx for the reply, it was rly helpful! When I started my WL I was probably around 40% body fat with a 0.71 WHR. Now I’m guessing I’m in the 23–26% range (BMI ~23) with a similar WHR at 0.68. My goal isn’t a specific weight rn, but getting to around 17–19% body fat and an 18–20 BMI. I’m hoping leaning out more will make my jawline more pronounced cuz I’m so tired at looking at this soft ah jaw everyday.

I agree with your point about neotenous features helping long term with aging better, it’s frustrating definitely right now though. I just need to suck it up and just accept that I’ll be in the “cute” category for the foreseeable future. Now that we’re on the topic of aging, I don’t take supplements currently but I probably should, definitely collagen and a good retinol serum.

As for training, I’m not worried about getting bulky due to the points you mentioned. I think I’m going to do a mix of weightlifting and pilates, pilates mostly because I probably have the weakest core known to man and I’d like to someday see what my abs look like. But mostly weightlifting with pilates a few days a week. Slim with curves and decent muscle definition is the goal for me, definitely achievable before summer methinks if all goes well.

well first I just gotta say that from 40% to 23-26% is absolutely mad, ur a demon.

and sounds like u got a solid plan. hitting 17-19% bf will most def help the jaw pop at least a tiny bit more. mewing + fixing posture are good habits, but sadly won't magically carve out the jawline of a Roman god. 😭 babyface stuff sucks rn, but long term, ur basically hacking the game. (and plus, makeup + hairstyle can move ppls perception of u to older if u rlly want.)

weightlifting and pilates is a goated combo, especially for u. weightlifting for overall definition and strength, pilates for the demon core workout and posture benefits. abs WILL show if ur consistent. I think it's def achievable for summer.

I fear my skincare routine is bar soap and water, so i'm useless in that department. just stay consistent across training + diet + skincare and u’ll hit ur vision before summer.
