look man if you want to stop looking like a thumb you need to stop obsessing over basic forward growth and start looking at your palatal width because your maxilla isn't just a flat bone it is a three dimensional vaulted arch and if that arch is narrow your entire face collapses inward like a dying star you need to look into the concept of transverse expansion because when your palate is wide it pushes your zygomatic arches out and creates that hollow cheek look by giving your buccal fat pads actual room to stretch thin instead of bunching up around your mouth like a squirrel storing nuts for winter and you need to realize that your sutures are not fused shut they are fibrous joints that stay responsive to micro pressure well into your twenties so if you aren't hard mewing with your tongue specifically targeting the posterior third of the palate you are leaving gains on the table and wasting time also you need to stop mouth taping like a casual and start focus on your chewing occlusion because if your molars are worn down from grinding you are literally losing vertical height in your lower third which makes your face look squashed and shorter than it actually is so get some mastic gum and treat your jaw like a squat rack because thick masseters act like an external brace for your mandible widening the gonial angle and making you look high dimorphism instead of looking like some office worker who eats nothing but oatmeal and if you really want to go down the rabbit hole look at your cervical spine alignment because if your atlas vertebra is misaligned your body will compensate by tilting your jaw to keep your eyes level with the horizon which is why half of you guys have one side of your face looking like a different person in back camera photos fix your posture or you are just building a house on a crooked foundation and no amount of chewing will save a tilted skull base
