i went to church yesterday and i wore a cute outfit instead of sweats, did my hair and my new makeup style, and took off my glasses. the girls that were usually looking over me actually listened when i talked about my week (i talked for a LOT longer than i normally did too because they kept asking follow up questions) and one of them even said that I was like the disney cliches where the girl takes off her glasses and becomes a whole new person

they were always sweet to me beforehand, but this is the first time in years i didn't feel below them or out of place. it felt so good
