most people i see irl (public commute, public space in general) seem to give 0 shit about people around them seeing and hearing what they are watching on their phone. they'll just casually go through fb/ig reels recommended to them with the sound on and give 0 shit about what others might think

meanwhile, i'm super self conscious about checking anything more specific and extreme than the weather forecast on my phone when i m around others, despite being fully aware they physically couldn't care less about my existence
