Fifa 14 is the last good one, they went too "realistic" after that, just feels clunky and the movement/turning isn't so smooth anymore imo. Haven't played in years though. Also the UT seems like a joke nowadays, so many special cards. I remember getting a ribery in pack in 14 and selling it for 750k and buying a whole ass team with neymar (300k) in it. In the current ones the prices just suck ass after they added that "fixed price ranges" shit.

IMO 2017 was the last good game , the prices made it harder yah fr by the time you make a good team the other game is already dropping

Yeah, I guess I clarified badly 15 and 16 weren't too bad (never played 17), decently good actually. I just feel 14 was start of the downfall. They removed the good features like trade offers and then added those price ranges, and in later ones they just try to be more realistic.

Aren't there like millions of "special cards" nowadays? I feel like in the earlier ones "good teams" were rare. While now it's expected to have a high rated team with all those "rare" cards.

Yah they are just adding anything at this point it used to be just best players of the year or the week now they added challenges and best of the month cards and a lot of cards if you mean by rare cards icons they are still hard to get

Yeah, it's a rainbow fest nowadays, so many different colored cards.

Like even this team in 14 was considered really good, above average for sure, and I think even that 80 rated ramirez (left cdm) was worth like 20-25k while in the current one he would be valued at like 2k or something.

Yah honestly the game changed a lot , players prices drop from fifa14 is expected since It depends on what can the player offer to the team and no one will stay a chad at football for that much unless in rare cases

I mean like overall drop in prices. Like you could build a team of similar rating in the current ones with just 1 week of playing as you get coins so easily and a 80 rated card is worth like 600 coins tbh, at least when I tried the fifa 21 the prices just didn't make sense.

Like a ribery was valued 750k at 91 rating, and getting 750k in those games was really hard. While now, if that existed I think you could buy it for 100-200k even, if even that, and getting that amount of coins would be much easier too.
