No like you had number 2 button and it had abc written, number 3 button had def written, number button 4 had ghi written, so if you wanted to write the word “bad”, you had to press the number 2 button twice to get the letter “b”, then wait for a second since the second letter was also on the same number, and then the press number 2 once to get the letter “a” and then you had to press the number 4 button to get “d”. So it would take you a few seconds to just write a single word. That’s why people used to use a lot of acronym in texts so it could be easier.
