my credentials are that my special interests have been beauty and self care since i was like 14, care way too much about hygiene, and i’ve had an insane ascension
taking care of your body is one of the most important things you can do for yourself not only physically, but mentally. i do this routine 1-2 times a week, especially before going out.
i highly recommend following this routine to smell like a cupcake and feel so so good every so often. make sure you have a cold drink with you <3
now you can put on your silk matching pj set and sleep better than you ever have in your clean bed!

1. oil hair
3-4 hours before you wash your hair, you should apply oil to the roots to stimulate growth and strengthen the hair. i use a mix of rosemary, batana, and castor oil
massage it in for 10 minutes right after you apply it, and then for another 5-10 minutes a few hours later before you wash it out. this is a good time to clean, workout, read, cook whatever
2. fake tan
this is obviously optional (as is everything here) but i like the isle of paradise one just mix it with an unscented lotion and let it marinate for like 4-5 hours before your shower
3. face mask
the lush ones are rlly good, i personally like catastrophe cosmetic, bb seaweed, and mask of magnanimity. leave it on for however long your mask says
4. wax
waxing is the most effective form of hair removal in my opinion, so investing in a wax pot at home could be a good idea. the only issue is you have to let the hair get kinda long before you can wax it, so stick to areas you don’t want to have to shave often. i usually just do bikini, underarms, and face. for your bikini and underarms, make sure you exfoliate the night before and i find the mario badescu rose water spray to be soothing afterwards. any wax off amazon works. for brows, the brow mapping feature on tiktok is good to get a shape but draw them out with a white eyeliner before waxing anything.

1. first shampoo
the main focus of this is to get all of the oil you put in your hair out and remove any excess dirt or whatever. i find head and shoulders dandruff shampoo rlly helpful for cleaning your scalp, which makes your hair feel a lot cleaner. i usually scrub the shampoo in under running water, and wash it out quickly to take out oil and then put more shampoo in and let it sit in a claw clip until the next shampoo.
2. bar soap
this is pretty self explanatory. dove bar soap
is the best the vanilla one is nice just wash down your whole body. you should be doing this before your body wash every day anyway. this also helps wash off the fake tan.
3. second shampoo
now you’re gonna wash out the first shampoo, and use something that’s more targeted or that you like the smell of. i honestly like the kirkland brand one from costco but any decent shampoo is fine. put it up in a claw clip again.
4. body scrub
you should be using a body scrub on your whole body 3-4 times a week, especially before you shave. i like the dove vanilla or cherry scented ones, but they have decent cheap ones at like marshall’s. use this on your whole body, except on wherever you waxed because you should’ve already exfoliated it the day before.
5. hair mask
now you can wash out the second shampoo and put in a hair mask. the cer-100 is my go to, but i also rlly like the fino one. i find just using it as a condition works well while you do the rest of your shower.
6. shave
i think its best to shave your entire body (legs, arms, stomach, bikini and pits if you didn’t wax, literally everywhere). the eos shave oil or shave cream are really nice, i like the vanilla scents for both. use a men’s 5 blade razor to get the closest shave and try to switch out your razors often especially if you’re prone to ingrowns.
7. body wash
since you already used a bar soap, this one is more about the scent. eos vanilla cashmere or the l’occitane almond shower gel are really nice but you can find any dove or olay in a scent you like. i like to stick to vanilla or any gourmands to keep a common theme.
8. shower oil
this can be excessive, but i LOVE the l’occitane almond shower oil. it’s so luxurious and leaves your skin so hydrated and soft, especially after shaving. you can put it on like a body wash since it’s cleansing, but i like to do both just in case. after you do this you can wash out your hair mask (i like to finish with cold water, esp after a hot shower) and you’re done! for now

1. glycolic acid
this has been a miracle for ingrown hairs, strawberry skin, and overall texture and appearance. i put it on a little cotton bad and put it everywhere, especially bikini and pits because it helps your ph balance. i also like to use this on my face every day after i wash it before moisturizer.
2. lotion
eos vanilla cashmere is my holy grail lotion. it smells so good, the body butter is insane too. you can put this everywhere too.
3. body oil
eos vanilla cashmere is also a good pick for this, but l’occitane has a very nice one. also put this everywhere.
4. dusting powder
the lush snow fairy, super milk, and sticky dates are all SO good i just put it everywhere, including bedsheets it makes you so soft
5. body mist + perfume
i know it seems excessive to do this, especially if you’re doing it at night but smelling good at night is importantly too. i usually go for the victoria’s secret bare vanilla body spray and al rehab choco musk for perfume
6. blowout
start off with a rough blow dry to get it like 70% dry, and then if you have the dyson air wrap curl the whole thing loosen it with your fingers for a perfect blow out. if not, blow dry it flat with a round brush and do sock curls overnight, genuinely the best hack ever. trader joe’s hair oil is good to use before it.
