would you recommend someone to get an expander to get a wider face and better forward growth

It depends. I'm considering it but as an adult the healing process is vastly different than as a kid (which is when most people get it done). You'd need to do orthodontics treatment afterwards so if you've already gotten braces you're going to have to do it again.
 
It’s the same effect as thumbpulling but it’s not pseudo science

ive never got braces though so it would be fine i think

The teeth would be pushed apart I believe, so at least you wouldn't be paying for them twice but you'd probably still need it done afterwards.

People normally get it done as a kid because the space between the jaw (the maxilla) is still developing, so they create small spaces so the development of regenerated bone is developed wider instead of narrow. As an adult, the bones are already fused. So I don't know the full process beyond that, or if there's many doctors willing to do it.
