In a 100 years from now, imagine just how mentally ill everyone would be. Imagine a kid going to school with a sick note, but instead of having a disease or something, it's a list of his/her personality disorders and MBTI result.

"Nooooo I can't do this assignment I have SPD with ADHD hyperactive type ;-; ;-; ;-; "

I think close to every kid I've seen in public is just staring at the IPad/tablet their parents give to them with those shitty YouTube nursery rhymes playing outloud. Some of my relatives do this too. The moment these children get even remotely bored, they make a scene, they complain, they show some fake attitude and they end up getting to look at the screen for a an hour or so.

You give a child, in the stage where he is most susceptible to influence, in the time of his life where he will learn to speak, talk, walk and act in social settings, some dumb device filled with slop and you expect this kid to grow up into a normal human being? No, he's going to grow up into a pity-party brain-fried spoilt human being. Only the parents are to blame for this

Someone with a brain here gave the correct response.

"Be warned, it does mean you'll have to entertain your child yourself".

That's actually asking a lot from a modern parent, but yes, it is also correct. If you don't want your kid to grow up into a mentally spoilt self-pitying clown, make sure you raise them right. Very often, I find that some of my most well-spoken friends, often have the most nicest parents. Not as in parents that give them whatever they want, but parents who have signed these kids up for extra-curricular activities, making sure they eat healthy, strong bond with the Dad more often than not ( Most of my friends are male ) etc.

The dysfunctional and stupid kids, were almost* always raised in dysfunctional households.

I noticed some people consider it a flex to have multiple mental illnesses
It's a flex for them somehow yes, but more importantly, they cling onto it because actual change is really hard.

It's easier to tell people your have anxiety VS doing exposure therapy

It's easier to tell people that attention disorders is the reason you can't read a book VS actually going through the constant failure in pursuit of bettering your focus

It's easier to pretend to be the smart guy with all these issues VS just admitting you have zero discipline, work ethic or willpower

Often times, you can catch these patterns with the people who wear such things as a badge of honor. Their discussion of their mental illness never comes up until they need to justify some defect they have

That's why you make kids with a man who has a backbone and who can say "no"
What's the lil yapper is gonna do about it if i remove the ipad

Don't let them use the ipad at that young age first

I'll probably raise my kids with limited internet access tbh and make them go outside and play with other kids and not let them around ppl significantly older and basically do alot of shit my parents didn't do like before I was 12/13 my dad wanted nothing to do with me and he used to just lock me in his room give me a caprisun and a movie and tought me how to play it

My parents would also just leave me with my older sister and there freinds (usually druggies) and I remember alot of shit they did that could be counted as abuse and my parents didn't care

I will be the best parent I can tbh even tho some ppl say I can't parent for a few reasons
