Yes there is… the world must draw a line and the line is 18 no fluctuations no changes, the line IS 18 and not 17 if it was 17 then it would be 17 but it’s not its 18 and that’s the difference

Can you maybe explain what's a good moral and psychological distinction between sleeping with a 17 yo and 18 yo as a much older person ? What I'm trying to convey is that obsession over age of consent is, in itself, a huge red flag. Like, there's no meaningful difference between a 17 year old and an 18 year old; it would still be an inexperienced, emotionally vulrenable teenager. Legality =/ morality, grooming and abusing your power to easily influenced and not fully developed teens is still problematic. It's not free bar once a teen turns 18.

its is abritrary if you think about it, since nothing has changed about you from 17 and 11 months to 18



it is still nessecary to prevent edp445s

they only made legal age 18 so they could get money from them asap., imo the legal age should be when ur frontal lobe is developed but thats not the case

abritrary boundaries are needed for a bunch of other things as well


Like when something stops being blue and turns red

this is ridiculous in my opinion


the development of the frontal lobe is gradual, it doesnt advance from idiotic to genius at 25.


A 18 year old's frontal lobe has developed enough to where they can make logical decisions and consent, even if not fully developed

Arbitrary doesn’t matter, it’s a rule, it’s a law, tax is arbitrary but it’s a rule, you don’t pay 5$ less you pay the tax and that is that

of course they're going to understand basic shit but when their frontal lobe is fully developed its not only about sex its also about other things like drugs and alcohol which affects the brain, sex also alters brain chemistry a little bit which is why i think it'd be better to make that the legal age

I agree that drugs and alchohol should not be allowed until ur 25


The average 18 year old has terrible risk analysis, so something like sex won't e as detrimental but drugs and alchohol definitely will be


It's why the US banned alchohol for a couple decades in the 1900s

im glad we're on the same path, either way no matter what rule they put in place minors will always find a way to do it or get their hands on something illegal lol

Yh it’s common for 15 yo in England to have done it all. I know a few who r now 19 and gone sober for life or now celibate 😭
