online whenever someone proclaims they're intelligent everyone is quick to state that they can't be if they say that about themselves, now the main reason why people say this is because of the dunning Kruger effect, but the people who say this trying to call out people who call them self high IQ are an example of the dunning Kruger effect themselves
"unlike you who is claiming to be smart, i'm self aware of how dumb I am" you are actually further displaying the dunning Kruger effect because your still basically humble bragging about how smart you think you are
