a good example of respecting a rejection is taking it as it is, giving space when asked, and respecting the other's decision whether they choose to stay in contact or not

disrespectful would be constant messages/approaching them after they ask for space, still flirting after the rejection, or getting mad simply because the other person doesn't have feelings for them
