Do you think government is just? And if so, how so?

As of this moment, I think that government is illegitimate and a force that has given humanity a bad place within creation. Man is capable of being free, but if say you that man is barbaric; How can you say man is irrational and need of government when that government will house those very barbarians?

My conclusion: through adherence to natural law and moral behavior, upholding to reason and mastered emotion. Man therefore will no longer need government because he recognizes his inherent sovereignty.

You’re dumb as fuck
Yh, I can see n***a. Already mentioned that post only elaborative answer. still ur retarded shitskin ass has to post it

i get what you mean and i agree with a lot of it. gov isn’t automatically “just” or legit just cause it exists, half the time it’s literally just power and control and history proves govs can be way more barbaric than the people they claim they’re “protecting” us from. but at the same time I don’t fully believe societies can run only on natural law because not everyone is gonna be moral or rational. like yeah, some people can master emotions and live right, but it only takes a few greedy or violent people to ruin it for everyone. i don’t think the answer is no gov at all, I think it’s a loose gov, one that mostly leaves people alone and just protects basic rights cause harsh nationalist governments are basically just oppression but dressed up as order and patriotism, so yeah government can be just, but only when it’s limited and gives people freedom, not when it acts like it owns them.

fuck that took forever

Modern Capitalist Libertarian Government are not about protecting people. It's a system where ur votes doesn't matter. Ideologies doesn't matter. Left & right both being a part of controlled opposition

Again society & government are kith & kins of same coins.
Low IQ greedy Society = corrupt governments (3rd world)
High iq high trust society = government which is really for the people (Scandinavian countries)

Yh could agree on that

Without government our society would fall into anarchy, I thought this was pretty simple.

but the thing is most democratic governments are puppets of the highest ranking people, it's never going to fair for everyone
Holy shieet you're 22 ? I thought ur my age

even if man is free some sort of anarchy will always exist and the top is what will become the government which will force its laws on others, thats why it managed to exist in the first place

anarchismcels for some reason don't understand that even if you overthrow the government, someone will come and fill the gov gap anyway

if scandi gov was actually good then they'd have low taxes and no shitskins. In reality they are woke as fuck lol. Cuz they have democracy, and it's well-known that democracy is bad

It's the birth rate crisis & lack of labours driving it

a good government is reliant on the notion of self reliance, and the notion that a government fears its people.

No government is totally indicative of the ‘wrongness’ or fallacy of governings, but a weak and divided populace create a weak world which then is exploited by the government.

It’s supposed to be a two way system of battle between the government and the people, not just the government ‘giving’ it to the people. We are supposed to fight

It depends on how smart and educated a population is which really matters because if everyone was perfect and did everything right they wouldn’t need a government. But that’s not the case I think a government in case is a completely just and important system to help and serve the weaker members of society. But this also means who’s really the government you are talking about. There is no government currently I 100% support I like some policies from many different governments. I’d believe a government needs to feed the lower social class to keep them working and boosting economic growth

the idea is great in theory, but it presupposes that human beings are rational and morally disciplined. but in reality, they are not.
without government power does not disappear and other forms of control simply emerge, often worse and less transparent.
as long as human beings remain competitive and imperfect, some organized power structure is inevitable

No such thing as a government, it's just an idea

We are self-willed animals by nature

my answer is that its just due to the fact that humans don't really have any free will in the first place so it doesn't really make much of a difference. This only applies if you think through the question with a deterministic mindset.

yes, but it’s better than the case of complete anarchy, the horrific events that would occur with no government far worse than our case now.

there has never existed any system of governance that is influenced by its population.

clearly no one has read 1984 before. This is the correct way to live, we should just remain happy with our lives and find out own intrinsic worth.

Government is necessary, but becomes unjust when the people at the top get too much power. Societies without any form of government simply cannot exist without self destructing at some point due
