I’d choose her. The child isn’t born yet, so the emotional bond isn’t the same. A child needs a mother’s love, and without her, they’ll lack that. Plus, with my wife, we could try for another child. Also, saving the baby could end up harming him too, his life depends on the mother during birth. I had a classmate whose mother died giving birth to him. He was depressed for years because he blamed himself.

It was out of his control, no need for depression. If anyone has to be blamed, it would have to be his father. IMO.
