Premolar extraction

This is probably a dumb question but if my dentist took out 4 of my premolars should I get a pallet expander
I keep seeing tiktoks about the consequences of them doing that, I still have braces but I'd rather deal with it sooner than have all ts happen to me in the future

No, I myself got my wisdom teeth took a year ago. Since it doesn’t affect the jaw or pallet directly you shouldn’t need a pallet expander. In doubt tell an orthodontist. Give solution, it’s the check on the right.

Ask your orthodontist about it and they let you know if it’s right for you. I got premolar’s extracted and didn’t need one because it woulda made my face to wide

this isn't the case it can affect facial aesthetics plus I've seen shite on it making your jaw less developed because you chew differently

Like I said I’ve had extractions and I would say my upper and lower jaw development are well above average. It might change case to case though and if you feel some expansion would help you out bring it up with the ortho and they’ll give you their opinion

my mum got it but i have no idea if it was a result of her getting extractions because her facial development is good so like how are we gonna know

It was a long time ago but I would say it was slightly wide

could be over for me then I remember my dentists saying I had crowding so I'm guessing that woudl've caused mine to be narrower than usual brutal

Could be I feel like they’re usually very good at doing what’s best for aesthetics and functionality but it probably depends on the dentist

getting ur teeth pulled shouldnt affect your bone structure
