I saw video's on TikTok saying you shouldn't get your premolars extracted. They said that you need an palate expander (which I have and wear.), but my orthodontist still says I need to remove my first premolars (only on my upper jaw) to fix my overbite. Is this going to ruin my face??

Hmmm I don’t know much about it

@Nbernical thoughts ?

@Tonym0ntana bro fuck ALL extractions. I know forsus springs correct overbites, ask for that. Just say ur deathly afraid of extractions or some shit
Wait I got my wisdom teeth removed a year ago is it that bad ?

I just turned 16, and I doubt they will give me Forsus springs. They usually only give them to ppl under 16, idk why.
You should check with a specialist to know for sure

Mb I was playing rocket league, fucking lost last second. Anyways, wisdom teeth removal doesn't even matter that much. What was the reason for the removal?

Idk exactly tbh, for my case I didn’t notice any recession post-removal although my face was swollen and J was spitting blood for a good week.

The swelling is the worst thing. And no it doesn't fuck up your face @Tonym0ntana , I just see no reason in removal in cases like this, where my n***a doesnt even know why. Dentists are quick to pull teeth cus money saar 🤑

DONT LET HIM get a second opinion from a maxillofacial surgeon. If he has to remove teeth it’s because it’s a jaw problem and orthodontist aren’t trained to fix jaw problems so they camouflage.

I had six teeth removed, 4 premolars, I definitely noticed some recession over two years, especially because I was 12 at the time, but you won’t see immediate recession. When the bone doesn’t get stimulation it gradually reabsorbs. Get an expander if you can, or even get a screw assisted expander if ur sutures are closed please, but always get second opinion from maxillofacial surgeon
