so im getting braces soon and my orthodontist said i might need to remove my premolars. i immediately said no. im scared because ive heard that ruins your face. true or myth?

Premolar extractions don’t always ruin your face
if they're done right they can improve balance but if done wrong they can flatten your profile.

If your jaw can’t expand more or your teeth are too crowded extraction are the only good option
I have weird palate myself… I have Henry Cavill’s situation where palate isn’t very wide, average width for 2025 standards, but my mandible is very wide… I have 28 teeth and very straight (only wisdom removed)

idk my palate is currently 28mm and i have two teeth that are really high up and my orthodontist said that if braces wont help aligning them i might need the extraction

if braces don't move them extractions in the only option.
just listen to your orthodontist he knows better
