A study by Gründl (Published in 2012) explored how scleral whiteness and eye color affect attractiveness. They found that while blue eyes are often considered attractive, iris color doesn’t really change how people rate attractiveness. Instead, the brightness of the sclera and larger pupil size were linked to higher attractiveness and a more youthful look. Which means that clear, bright sclerae are more important for attractiveness than just eye color.
Similarly, research by Provine (Published in 2012) found that discoloration of the sclera(like redness or yellowness), can change the perceptions of health and attractiveness of those people. Which then again states that bright, clear sclerae are signals of youth
Along with that well-defined limbal ring(the darker ring around the iris) also influences attractiveness.
