If you're reading this, that means you have an internet connection and a device.
Literally download the pdf and read it on your device.

The best method is to get a kindle and import EPUB/AZW3 files onto it.
No need to pay for books ever again.

Same goes for television. Why pay for shows which you can find for free online?
The only subscription I pay for is Mullvad, nothing else is needed nowadays.
This is the first time in history that education is fully and freely accessible.

reading online books is utter garbage
Traditionalist cope tbh. It's 5x better. Do you want a book? You can get it within 20 seconds. Can't understand or interpret something? Ask online. You want to learn a new skill? Millions of course available right at your fingertips, for free.

Where ? All the Z-library are nuked

i dont use kindles bc they're created by palantir to track you
Everything is tracking you. The cpu running your device has a level zero management engine inside (which is fundamental to the bootup of your device) which can be accessed even when your device is out of charge. You can remove it and use libreboot or some alternative, that'll only make your device run slower (intentional by manufacturers) and put a target on your back. Privacy is a meme.

And books in the same domain have the same idea just different way ( I am talking about popular one )

Yeah I agree with this but sometimes it's better to just not have the blue light reflecting at you for a change(i know there are alternatives but most zoomies don't use them)

And some say that your brain is hardwired to process information from physical copies better because we've evolved that way

Yeah, blue light is the major concern. Blue light glasses counter-act them though.

I think that's moreso for note taking. You retain more of the information when you write it down, rather than type it down.

It's just unnecessary expenditure. Anyone claiming that physical reading is better just wants to appear aesthetic.
I do prefer to read in person but if i can’t get it for whatever reason i just read the PDF.

I sorta agree.

I agree with everything you said, but I do think physical media is important. For example, you can't store shit in your Google Drive especially with copyright content. I do believe Amazon will do something similar with their Kindle storage system eventually. Having them scan your storage and then ban you for owning books you haven't paid for or something.

but physical copies get like wrinkly and like creased and stuff and then whenever u reread the book and look at how used it is ur like ohhhhhhh the memories 🥹🥹 and u get all like sentimental

There would be pretty simple work-arounds to that. If you use some kind of external memory device, and only operated within the RAM of the device, they would have no way to scan your storage. The only way would be if they only allowed files directly from amazon, but I doubt they'll do that.

The only argument for physical copies > digital copies being that they get wrinkly and creased is horrible.

Intel ME is legit a spyware and no one will convince me of otherwise

It's Amazon. I wouldn't put it past them.

We see them attempting to do similar stuff with the gaming industry and gaming consoles right now.

I actually own and use a Kindle and I like it a lot. It's helped me read more books. I use Libby on there as well.

But it's Amazon, I would never store anything valuable on there.

They should make specific chips for companies to use. I get that a company would need some low-level management shit like ME, but the everyday windows user? No need at all, it's just spyware.

If worst comes to worst, I'd make my own raspberry pi dedicated to reading PDFs. 🤞

its not really an argument. i think digital copies would still be overall better, lots more benefits, but i still like having a physical collection of all my favorite books. i usually use digital when im reading a book for the first time, then if i really like it i buy a paper version. i guess theres no functional purpose for that though, just makes me happy

Victim of consumerism boyo 😟
It's just an unnecessary purchase.

anna's archive is still working.

personally there's no way I can financially justify buying hard copies when they exist online for free. if I actually like something enough after reading it I can always buy it then. there's many books that I couldn't get into that I didn't have to waste money on.
