why cant people realize "looks" and "personality" aren't some separate qualities that exist in completely different domains of human perception

from my (vast) life experience, every time i heard a woman cry about a guy's personality, it meant one of these two things:
1. he was out of her league and could comfortably replace her or have a bunch of side chicks, or
2. he was a fucking subhuman they settled for because they couldn't do better at a given time, but wanted a bf badly for any reason

Regardless, I think “personality” is an inaccurate term, what most people are rly referring to are traits like confidence, low inhib, being funny etc. U can hve a bad personality but still hve these traits, and vice versa
