I'm an atheist because I don't believe the stuff mentioned in the Bible, it's illogical and has many contradictions. I believe it was used as a coping mechanism for stuff they didn't know back in old times and we never grew out of it because retards continue to preach it

i’d recommend researching the big 3 first, christianity, islam, and judaism, then you could explore buddhism or hinduism but imo christianity the truth
