Every person has a persona on the Internet in order to escape their reality, and become whoever they want to portray. But this isn’t an excuse to mislead people, pretending that you’re good and morally, correct when in reality you’re just a bad person behind that screen of yours.
It’s okay to develop a persona and have different aesthetics as a creative outlet or to express yourself in ways that you weren’t able to in real life. So of course not everyone is bad in reality, but it’s hard to decipher the good ones at this point.

I just never understood the point really. I guess it's the attention they get from it.
Maybe. But at the end of the day isn’t it lonely knowing that you’re never going to be that version of yourself unless you change? Idk how people can sleep at night knowing that
