Remolding ortho retainers

I was wondering if my theory that if I remolded my retainers slightly wider using boiling water would that help expand maxilla/mandible or will it just jank my teeth…
Please let me know i am grey
I have already remolded them been wearing them for about 3 hours andi feel constant pressure outwards
