It's all by design. If you take away inspiration, you minimize levels of consciousness. Minimizing levels of consciousness means people will accept anything they are given.

I’ve been writing this for the past 3 days, came to be after thinking about music labels, occult teachings in music, and katseye.

People are products of their surroundings. For example: If you grew up in a household where both your parents were classically trained musicians and you went to sing in a children's choir every week for years, it is highly likely that you will develop higher musical abilities than average as an adult. Even if you never learned to play an instrument or write music yourself, you will be able to pick up on musical patterns and modes that other people just won't. So maybe you'll find yourself drawn to John Williams film scores more than to hip hop trap beats, even if you can't consciously explain why. On an even deeper level, it will help you to develop your speech pattern, tone of voice, and reading abilities, since singing and language are very much related. This has all been very well studied for decades (and also applied in fields like logopedics), so don't let anyone tell you it's just "new age" bs.

Here's what follows: If you want to culturally build a society up, you promote complex forms of art and aesthetics starting in school and even pre-school activities. You build beautiful buildings, you publish complex books, you film deep movies, you write colorful and dynamic music - this will inspire your audience to eventually do the same, leading to ever-expanding modes of artistic expression generation over generation. It's an upward spiral. However. you need to do this at the risk of not reaching a significant portion of the audience though, which is just not well-trained enough to see the beauty in these things.

So, even when presupposing no malintent by the decision makers in these fields, a society trapped in late-stage capitalism will naturally shift to the other extreme: Promote art and culture with a lower bar of entry each year (because it's easier to produce and speaks to larger audiences), thereby also slowly lowering the base level of cultural sophistication per generation, until eventually people are trapped in low-effort, minimalistic forms of artistic expression with very little to no emotional depth (again, like hip hop trap beats - coincidence that it's called "trap"?). This ist not to say that minimalistic art is bad per se, but the problem is that a lot of these modern music producers are technically unable to produce anything more than that, and thus their range of expression becomes stunted. In turn, this will also narrow the perceptual spaces in which their audiences can understand themselves and the world. It's a downward spiral.

Now, add some malintent to the mix, and it could go even further down the drain (gaaang): Imagine you live in a society that's already scraping the bottom of the cultural barrel. Everything out there is simple, shallow, mass produced and pandering to the lowest common denominator.

Yet life will be life, and humans will remain humans, meaning that everybody will still experience death, hardship, loss, and other tragedies in their life. Only now, they can not properly understand or express these tragedies, since they've never been taught the vocabulary to deal with these emotions - be it through music, writing, speaking, acting, whatever (because that is indeed what art is at its core: the expression of feelings). So, they will get frustrated, and channel the darkness that's driving them through other forms of expression instead: Bullying, power games, (sexual) violence, drug abuse, revolution and eventually war which is learned environmental behavior.

Or in other words: If you want people to kill each other, take away their ability to speak to each other. And art is often the easiest way to communicate complex thoughts and ideas.

IF YOU DNR
1. fuck you
2. heres the main idea you’re welcome

If you take away inspiration, you minimize levels of consciousness. Minimizing levels of consciousness means people will accept anything they are given. feeble minds are the easiest for devils to control the tongues of, that's why they don't build beautiful architecture. So, don’t be feeble.
