I don't leave because I'm trying to escape their incompetence, but rather because I've decided it's time for me to focus on more... promising endeavors.

No, it's not that far-fetched. The actions and words of the person criticizing you are a direct result of the situation and the people involved, which is why they're taking such drastic measures.

You're definitely making an effort, and I appreciate the GIF. However, I'd say your approach is a bit too... straightforward. It's like you're trying to convey a certain message without really understanding the context.
